Raffles London at The OWO

London, United Kingdom

What was a significant British government building at the beginning of the 20th century, now known as The OWO, is today home to the prestigious Raffles London, opened in 2023 after a colossal restoration. The structure retains the fascinating Edwardian Baroque style of its origins, while the interiors have been completely redesigned to create 120 spacious rooms and suites, nine restaurants, three bars, a spa, a gym, and a grand ballroom with a capacity of 600 guests. In this seven-meter-high hall stands an extraordinary Amsterdam chandelier by Barovier&Toso, in a large custom format with fifty Venetian crystal gold arms arranged on three levels. The reels and pendants in rostrato reflect the light, amplifying the scenic effect of the ensemble, echoed by the Amsterdam wall sconces placed around the perimeter of the room, along the elegant white pilasters.
