Between May 17 and July 31, 2024, the prestigious halls of Palazzo Reale in Milan hosted the exhibition "From the Heart to the Hands: Dolce&Gabbana," curated by Florence Müller, a fascinating journey through the creative process of the stylistic duo. Barovier&Toso creations illuminated the event with an exceptional project celebrating the triumph of Made in Italy and the perfect union of two Italian excellences, united by a passion for craftsmanship and the pursuit of beauty. The Hall of Mirrors, a tribute to the Sicilian roots of Dolce&Gabbana and the rich cultural heritage that has always inspired the maison, was conceived as a triumph of light and reflections, expressed through the voluptuous power of the Agadir, Venezia 1295, and Taif chandeliers. The Gattopardo Hall, inspired by the 1963 film of the same name and the influence of cinema on Dolce&Gabbana's designs, showcased the opulence and grandeur of a past aristocratic era under the lights and the extraordinary multicolored flowers of the 4607 chandelier, an apotheosis of artisanal mastery in the centuries-old glass art tradition. Dedicated explicitly to craftsmanship, the Tailoring Hall displayed the behind-the-scenes process of creating a garment, a workshop environment illuminated by six gold Robin suspensions, a modern interpretation of the lantern archetype. Finally, the Theatre Hall offered a vibrant celebration of drama and spectacle, presenting costumes inspired by the world of opera, ballet, and Italian theater. Entirely in red with gold details, simulating a real theater with its grand stage and curtain, the hall was dominated by three gold Taif chandeliers in all their magnificence.
